Asparagus Argenteuil Crowns

from $7.95
sold out

A beautiful old French variety – tender, early and full of flavour

This heirloom asparagus has been grown in French kitchen gardens since the 1800s. ‘Argenteuil’ is known for its thick, pale spears and delicate flavour – perfect for those who love proper seasonal eating.

Sold as individual crowns, ready for planting now.

Plant once and enjoy a harvest every spring for years to come.

To grow:

Find a sunny spot with rich, well-dug soil. Give each crown some space (about 30–40cm apart) and a bit of patience – you’ll get a light harvest in the second year, then a generous crop from year three onwards. Well worth the wait.

Grown with care here at Weston Farm

This is a good opportunity to buy Asparagus crowns, as they are not permitted to be shipped into Tassie for quarantine reasons, only seeds.

Collection will be from the Weston Farm once the order is placed online on Sunday only between 10am - 2pm
Or to collect from the Pigeonhole Cafe on Wednesdays between 7.30am - 3pm (Order by COB Monday)
